Getting
pre-qualified isn't just living by the Boy Scout motto, "be
prepared". True, you may uncover problems with your credit
in plenty of time to fix them. You might discover that you
can afford more (or less) house then you think. The most important
reason to be pre-qualified is to support your offer in the
eyes of the Seller. A good Seller's Agent will advise his
Client to accept the best offer. Which is from the most qualified
Buyer, and not just the highest bidder. Your offer will be
given more consideration if it includes a Pre-qualification
Letter that confirms your ability to complete the transaction.
